Bro. John is the Gog Magog War the same as the Zechriah 14 war?

To me, this is one of the most difficult questions in Bible prophecy.
I the past I said no, but now I am leaning yes.

If one views Psalm 83, Obadiah, Ezekiel 38, 39, and Zechariah 14 historically it appears as though two separate events are unfolding. If however, one views these same passages from a political and military perspective, these verses become extensions of one and the same event.

Psalm 83 lists an inner circle of confederation of nations against Israel
Ezekiel 38, 39 lists an outer circle of confederation of nations against Israel–but only a partial list. This indicates that many nations are being drawn in to the conflict over a period of time through treaty obligations and national security concerns.

We saw a similar action at the beginning of WWI where as, many nations were dragged in because of legitimate and secret treaty’s (on top of national hubris) where everyone thought the other-side was going to back down, but nobody blinked and millions died needlessly.WWI was never really won or concluded which is why there was a continuation of what later became WWII.

Zechariah is wholly prophetic and relates directly to the end of age that ushers in the second coming of Christ, The Messiah, so a literal interpretation is the only one that gives a clear meaning. Some spiritualize it or mysticalize it, which only causes confusion. When viewed from a political-military perspective one can envision from a slightly different angle future events unfolding in the not so distant future.
