Health and Nutrition: Cocoa

James 1:17

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
Introduction

For anyone first reading the Health and Nutrition post, please read this first: Your Health. I have posted hundreds of articles about nutrition and health. If you want information related to a health issue, please use the search engine on the top left-side of the blog.
I also recommend that you first view my postings on Vitamin D and the Omega 3 oils. Just go to the search engine on the top left hand corner of this blog, and type in Vitamin D part 1 and then part 2 and 3. These three posts show the overwhelming evidence of just how important Vitamin D3 is to your health. Start taking Vitamin D3 now! Do the same for the Omega-3 oils. I also added Resveratrol to this list. You can get Resveratrol supplements at health food stores.
On the top left is the search engine for this blog. If you have a health issue, please use this search engine, as I have posted several hundred research articles.
Commentary
If you have followed the Health and Nutrition postings, you know that I have no use for the Babylonian health system. Most of it, not all of it, is based on lies and deception especially about dealing with degenerative diseases like diabetes, high blood pressure and cancer. The suffers get placed on a medicine merry-go-round and seldom, if every, get better. It becomes a medical, money-milking machine that scoffs at any natural cure; thus I call it the “Babylonian health system,” as it is more of a cult mentality than science.
One benefit of doing this Health and Nutrition update is that I come across dozens of health related articles every week. Because of this, I was able to see patterns in health that I never realized. The major one was Vitamin D3 and the overwhelming evidence of how great it is for our health.  Taking this vitamin is a great way to stay out of hands of the Babylonians.
The second one that I identified is cocoa and chocolate. I have not posted about this but have been accumulating many research articles about the incredible health benefits of natural chocolate, not the milk chocolate candy bars.
The health benefits of chocolate has been known since the 1930s, but the problem has been that cocoa is naturally very bitter. During the process to make it taste good and sweet, the health value was destroyed. There are groups of people in Central America that made cocoa in its natural form a main part of their diet. The scientists were amazed at their longevity along with their health, especially the cardiovascular health.
Recently, a process was developed to eliminate the bitterness from the cocoa without destroying its antioxidant value known as the ORAC value. The ORAC score stands for Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity. Raw cocoa stands at 55,000, which makes it about the highest for foods. This is why people who drank cocoa as part of their main diet had such good health and longevity.

The raw cocoa is now available. I drink it as a tea. It is not sweet and has a slightly bitter taste, so I add some natural honey to it. This is not honey from the grocery store, but honey that is NOT boiled and found locally. I have found a great source for this cocoa from Sunfoods, and I am offering it through the blog.
I recommend that everyone drink this, as it will protect your health, and along with Vitamin D3, keep you from the Babylonians. It is especially important for anyone who has cardiovascular issues.

The following are nutritional articles showing the overwhelming evidence of just how beneficial chocolate is for your health. What is really sad is that you could go to a Babylonian-type doctor and never hear about how important Vitamin D3 and cocoa is for your health. There is something radically wrong with the Babylonians in the face of all the mounting evidence, they still fail to tell sick and suffering people of these benefits.
God has His natural health system which I have been posting on this blog. It is for the health maintenance of His people, if they would only come out from the Babylonian money-milking machine.
Nutritional Articles
***Chocolate May Help Slash Your Risk of Cardiovascular Disease by 37%***  This is great article and make sure that you read it.
“As a general rule, any time “chocolate” is evaluated for its health benefits, we’re dealing with dark unprocessed chocolate and/or raw cacaonot your average processed milk chocolate candy bar. That said, the featured analysis found that the highest levels of chocolate consumption were associated with: 37 percent reduction in cardiovascular disease, and 29 percent reduction in stroke”
9 Ways Chocolate Boosts Health “Modern man, however, has considered chocolate a tasty indulgence and often regarded it as a “guilty pleasure.” That view is changing as scientists discover the ancient cultures were right all along. They’ve found that chocolate is packed with flavonoids that have powerful antioxidant effects. Dark chocolate, according to the Chocolate Manufacturers Association, contains eight times the polyphenol antioxidants found in strawberries.”
Chocolate Is Good for Your Heart “Previous studies have suggested dark chocolate in small amounts could be good for you, but this is the first study to track its effects over such a long period of time. Experts think the flavonols contained in chocolate are responsible. Flavonols help the muscles in blood vessels widen, which leads to a drop in blood pressure.”
Cocoa Flavanols Improve Vascular and Blood Pressure Measures for Coronary Artery Disease Patients “A new study by UCSF cardiologists and researchers found that high concentrations of cocoa flavanols decrease blood pressure, improve the health of blood vessels and increase the number of circulating blood-vessel-forming cells in patients with heart disease. The findings indicate that foods rich in flavanols — such as cocoa products, tea, wine, and various fruits and vegetables — have a cardio-protective benefit for heart disease patients.”
Can Chocolate Lower Your Risk of Stroke?  “Eating chocolate may lower your risk of having a stroke, according to an analysis of available research that was released February 11 and will be presented at the American Academy of Neurology’s 62nd Annual Meeting in Toronto April 10 to April 17, 2010. Another study found that eating chocolate may lower the risk of death after suffering a stroke.”
Kill Cancer With Cabernet and Chocolate The only problem that I have with this article is it recommends soy. I am totally against soy which I have posted the research on this blog. Fermented soy is OK, but please stay away from all others.
Chocolate: Rx for Liver Cirrhosis? Antioxidants called flavanols found in cocoa are believed to be the reason why chocolate is good for blood pressure because the chemicals help the smooth muscle cells of the blood vessels to relax and widen.”
Live Long and Healthy with Chocolate  “There are 300 to 400 compounds in dark chocolate that can help you from head to toe, inside and outside of your body,” said Orey, a health journalist who interviewed doctors, dietitians, and chocolatiers while researching her book. In addition to life-threatening diseases, chocolate can also help with lesser ailments such as anxiety, depression, PMS, and seasonal affective disorder (SAD). “Just a little piece of chocolate can make you feel happier,”
How Dark Chocolate May Guard Against Brain Injury from Stroke  “Researchers at Johns Hopkins have discovered that a compound in dark chocolate may protect the brain after a stroke by increasing cellular signals already known to shield nerve cells from damage.”
Chocolate Is a ‘Super Fruit’: Rich Source of Antioxidants  “It is widely known that fruit contains antioxidants which may be beneficial to health. New research published in the open access journal Chemistry Central Journal demonstrates that chocolate is a rich source of antioxidants and contains more polyphenols and flavanols than fruit juice.”

Resveratrol Also Found in Dark Chocolate and Cocoa “Scientists report that cocoa powder, baking chocolate and dark chocolate all have significant levels of resveratrol, a naturally occurring antioxidant”
